Change of guards at mausoleums of Quaid-e-Azam, Allama Iqbal
LAHORE/KARACHI (92 News) – Change of Guard ceremonies were held separately at mausoleums of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Muhammad Iqbal respectively in Karachi and Lahore today (Wednesday), as the nation is observing country’s Defense Day to pay tributes to martyrs of 1965 war.
An impressive change-of-guard ceremony was held at the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah as the entire nation is celebrating Defense day on Wednesday (today).
Smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Air Force (PAF), assumed guard duties at Mazar-e-Quaid on Tuesday morning with traditional spirit and customary enthusiasm to mark the Defense Day.
Air Officer Commanding Risalpur Air Vice Marshal Imran Khalid was the chief guest and reviewed the guard.
The chief guest laid floral wreath at the tomb of Father of the Nation, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and offered Fateha. Air Vice Marshal Imran Khalid also recorded his remarks in the visitor book and paid rich tribute to our beloved.
Large number of students and their parents also participated in the ceremony.
In Lahore, a Change of Guard ceremony was held at the Mazar-e-Iqbal where the chief guest of the ceremony laid a floral wreath at the mausoleum and offered fateha.
Pakistan Rangers Punjab took over guard duty at the Mazar-e-Iqbal.
