Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif reaches house of victim Sonia; assures bereaved family of justice
MUZAFFARGARH (92 News) – Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif visited the house of Sonia, who was raped and burnt alive by cops, in Muzaffargrah on Wednesday.
He expressed grief and sorrow over the tragic death of the victim.
The chief minister assured the bereaved family of justice. He ordered the arrest of both SHOs besides suspending the DSP.
He ordered to arrest all the culprits within 48 hours. He also gave an Rs 500,000 cheque to the bereaved family as compensation.
Talking to the media, he said that it was his duty to make the police servant of the people. “Policemen tormenting the people should not wear police uniform,” he said.
On the other hand, the police continued investigations into the death of Sonia and conducted raids to the arrest the culprits.
