Child killed, six others injured in New Karachi cylinder blast
KARACHI (92 News) – A child was killed and six others injured in a gas cylinder explosion, which damaged a building in New Karachi on Thursday.
A fire has erupted at a two-storey residential building in New Karachi due to gas leakage, killing a 10-year-old boy on the spot and injuring six others including husband-wife and their four children.
According to the initial report, the blast occurred when someone ignited a cigarette amidst gas leakage. One part of the building has been collapsed due to the blaze that broke out following the blast, they told.
The injured were identified as 14-year-old Unzela, five-year-old Faisal, 40-year-old Adil, 18-year-old Nausheen, 18-year-old Saba and nine-year-old Saifulllah.
All the injured have been shifted to the burns ward of Civil hospital.
