China-Punjab Economic Corridor is unacceptable: Aitzaz Ahsan

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Pakistan People’s Party leader Aitzaz Ahsan has on Thursday said that how would we fight the case of Indian-occupied Kashmir (IHK) if we do not remove the misunderstandings between us.

Addressing the joint session of the parliament in Islamabad on Thursday, he said that terming Kashmir as an integral part of India by New Delhi is a violation of the international law, adding that the Kashmiri youth are facing the guns and artillery with stones. “PPP will fully support the government in defending the motherland against any aggression,” he added.

The leader of the Opposition in Senate criticized the government saying that the issue of South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) is a failure of Foreign Ministry. He said that the government failed to ban the anti-state actors through National Accountability Bureau.

Aitzaz Ahsan appreciated Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s speech in the United Nations General Assembly last month but said he should also have raised Indian aggression in Kashmir and its interference in Pakistan’s internal matters.


He rejected the impression that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is the China-Punjab Economic Corridor is not acceptable to us. The $46 billion CPEC investment is not more important than national unity,” he said.

The leader of the Opposition in Senate said: “Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif responsible for diplomatic isloation of Pakistan in the aftermath of Uri attack and growing tension across Line of Control.”
