Christian community celebrates Good Friday
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Like others parts of the world, the Christian Community is observing Good Friday today (Friday) with religious fervor and solemnity throughout the country.
Special services will be held in the Churches across the country today to mark the day.
Thousands of Christians also visited the tombs of their beloved ones in the cemeteries and cleaned up the burial grounds for offering flowers and garlands to their departed ones.
The day is being marked by the customary Good Friday services, that included scripture reading, hymn singing, and sermons pertaining to each and every reference of the Bible read during the service.
Prayers have also been offered for the advancement and solidarity of Pakistan and for the prosperity of its people and the rulers.
The Christian community will also celebrate Easter that falls on Sunday.
Christians commemorate Jesus Christ’s crucifixion, which plays an important part in the Christian faith as they believe that Jesus came back to life, or was raised from the dead, three days after his death on the cross.
