Citizens should observe that no one is above law, says Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Chief Justice of Pakistan Anwar Zaheer Jamali has said that citizens should see that no one is above the law.

Addressing the Senate Aiwan Committee on Tuesday, he said that the policies should be according to the wishes of the people. “The independence of judiciary should be protected,” he added.

The CJP said that the state institutions support the Supreme Court. “Special recommendations with regard to the rights exist in the Constitution. We cannot give a cursory look to the problems of the society. Unjustified state and society are instable,” he said.

Chief Justice of Pakistan Anwar Zaheer Jamali said that the constitution having no strong support of the state destroys. “We will have to look at public challenges seriously,” he maintained.


He said that country’s judicial system could be improved. “The parliament should take such steps proving rule of the law,” he added.

He said that there was scarcity of education in the country.
