CJP leaves for Balakot to visit areas affected by 2005 earthquake
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar on Wednesday left for Balakot by road to visit the areas affected by the 2005 earthquake.
The petitioners of the earthquake funding case are also accompanying the CJP on his directions.
Justice Saqib Nisar ordered that the concerned persons to reach Balakot, adding that the people of Balakot should also come so that the information regarding situation of affected areas and funds could be gathered.
Earlier, during the earthquake funding case, the CJP asked about whether the international aid was included in the national exchequer or not, to which the Additional Attorney General said that the Ministry of Finance releases funds.
