CJP takes notice of delay in provision of justice in Model Town tragedy
LAHORE (92 News) – Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar on Sunday took sue motu notice of delay in provision of justice to the heirs of the victims of Model Town incident.
The bereaved families of the victims of Model Town incident staged a protest demonstration against in front of Supreme Court’s (SC) Lahore Registry against the delay in provision of justice.
The heirs of the victims of Model Town massacre appealed the CJP for justice saying four years have passed but justice was not delivered, adding that they were still waiting for justice to be delivered.
The CJP assured the minor daughter of a victim killed in the massacre that justice will be delivered, adding that there was nothing to be afraid of.
Justice Saqib Nisar summoned the details of court proceedings from the anti-terrorism court.
