CJP takes notice of huge salaries being paid to doctors at PKLI
LAHORE (92 News) – Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar on Sunday took sue motu notice of huge salaries being paid to doctors at Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute (PKLI).
While hearing cases of public welfare issues at the Supreme Court’s Lahore registry on Sunday, the CJP ordered PKLI to present details of all doctors and staff employed at the hospital along with records of their salaries.
Justice Saqib Nisar also ordered the chief secretary to hand over a detailed staff service structure of the hospital employees.
He said that it had come to the notice that the doctors were hired at the institute for salaries of Rs1.5 million per month.
