Clashes between workers of political parties leave six injured
KARACHI (92 News) – At least six people were injured when a clash between two political parties erupt following the electioneering for the last phase of the local bodies elections in Punjab and Sindh ended Thursday night.
As the electioneering for the last phase of the local bodies elections in Punjab and Sindh ended clashes between workers of different political parties erupted in Mahmoodabad at the political office of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) but the police reached the spot and controlled the situation.
On the other hand, the activists of rival parties attacked the office of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) due to which four workers sustained injuries, however the police said that it was just an incident of verbal clash.
Meanwhile, an independent candidate for Councilor of UC-39 received burns in Sarjani Town. Injured Abdul Rashid said that some unknown men tried to set him ablaze outside his house.
