Classes from 6 to 8 resume with 50 percent attendance across Sindh

KARACHI (92 News) – Classes from 6 to 8 resumed with a 50 percent attendance across the Sindh province on Tuesday.

Vaccination has been mandatory for the staff of the educational institutions. Moreover, applicant will have to show the coronavirus vaccine certificate for the issuance and renewal of the driving licence. 

On Monday, Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani said that the government had okayed to start classes with 50% attendance after reviewing the latest situation of the Corona. "If the COVID-19 condition improves further, primary classes will begin on June 21," he added.

The provincial minister also mentioned that vaccination is mandatory for all teachers. He further maintained that at present the coronavirus positivity ratio in Karachi and Hyderabad is more than 5 per cent but the situation is improving due to the rapid pace of vaccination.

Classes 9 and above had started from June 7 with strict coronavirus standard operating procedures (SOPs) in place.
