CM Shahbaz Sharif announces Rs 10m, plot for families of each lawyer killed in Daska tragedy
LAHORE (92 News) – Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif announces Rs 10 million and a plot for the relatives of each lawyer killed in the Sialkot tragedy.
He made the announcement during a meeting with a lawyers’ delegation led by Punjab Bar Council vice-chairman Farah Ijaz Baig.
He expressed grief over the Daska tragedy. “Justice will be done at all costs and will be seen being done,” he said.
The chief minister ordered to transfer the Sialkot DPO and the DSP concerned.
He said the complete challan of the case will be presented in court in 14 days. “I will supervise the case.”
He said that peaceful is the right of the lawyers. “The people torching buildings and vehicles will have to be brought to justice,” he maintained.
Provincial ministers Col (retd) Shuja Khanzada, Mujtaba Shujaur Rahman, Rana Sanaullah, Zaeem Qadri, Manshaullah Butt, Asif Bajwa, Rana Muhammad Afzal, chief secretary, Additional Attorney General of Pakistan Naseer Bhutta, IGP Punjab Mushtaq Sukhera and other officials were also present.
