CNICs re-verification very important for country’s security: Ch Nisar

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Interior Minister Ch Nisar has said that re-verification of the computerized national identity cards (CNICs) is very important for security of the country. Presiding over a high-ranking meeting on Monday, he said that citizens’ response to the re-verification process was very encouraging. He approved to include three planes in the Interior Ministry’s Air Wing. The minister appreciated the role of the media in the re-verification process. He directed the NADRA to point out the CNICs issued to foreigners. The officials told the minister that the family trees of 400,000 citizens had been re-verified.
