ABU DHABI (92 News) – Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited the United Arab Emirates on Saturday.

According to a tweet by UAE Embassy Pakistan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi received Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa.

Both dignitaries discussed him the ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries.

In a message on Twitter, DG ISPR Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor said that Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa arrived at Abu Dhabi, UAE and called on His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi.

Regional security environment and matters of mutual interests were discussed during the meeting.

On December 13, US Special Representative for Afghanistan Zalmay Khalilzad had called on Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa at General Headquarters.

In a message on Twitter, DG ISPR Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor said that US Ambassador in Pakistan Paul W Jones was also present.

He said that regional security situation with particular reference to ongoing Afghanistan reconciliation process was discussed during the meeting
