COAS General Raheel Sharif announces cadet college in Gwadar
GWADAR (92 News) – Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif has announced to establish a cadet college in Gwadar.
Addressing a seminar on ‘Peace and Progress in Balochistan’ on Tuesday, he said that China Pakistan Economic Corridor is a reflection of Pak-China Friendship.
He said that the CPEC would usher in peace and prosperity in the region.
“We are on the way to progress and stability after a difficult fight against terrorists. The ongoing operation in tribal areas is in the last phase,” he maintained.
The COAS said that the Operation Zarb-e-Azb is not only an operation, but a thought. “Our basic objective is to end corruption, extremism and terrorism. Strict action will be taken against terrorists and their facilitators.”
He said that army medical camps would also be established in Gwadar.
COAS General Raheel Sharif said that anti-state agencies, including RAW, were working against the CPEC project.
He said that transportation of cargo from China to Gwadar would start this year.
