COAS expresses grief over loss of lives in oil tanker tragedy
RAWALPINDI (92 News) – Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa has on Sunday expressed deep grief on loss of precious lives in oil tanker incident in Bahawalpur.
In a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the army chief instructed the army to participate in the rescue work and military helicopters have been dispatched to the site.
The COAS directed to provide full assistance to civil administration in rescue and relief operations.
“Army aviation helicopters have been sent for evacuation of casualties to hospitals and burn centers that have been put on high alert,” the ISPR said.
