COAS Gen Raheel Sharif confirms death sentence of nine hardcore terrorists
RAWALPINDI (92 News) – Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif has on Friday confirmed the death sentences awarded to nine hardcore terrorists by the military courts.
According to a statement issued by the ISPR, the terrorists were involved in committing heinous crimes pertaining to terrorism, including attack on Parade Lane Mosque, Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) Headquarters, Multan, attacks on Law Enforcement Agencies, kidnapping and killing civilians in Lahore.
Sources said that the COAS Gen Raheel Sharif confirmed the death sentence of nine terrorists including Muhammad Ghauri, of banned Tehreek-e-Taliban. He was also the in charge of Taliban media cell.
Another terrorist namely Muhammad Imran whose death sentence confirmed by the Army Chief is also from banned Tehreek-e-Taliban, who was involved in committing attacks on law-enforcement agencies, while the death sentence of Abdul Rauf, an al Qaeda activist has been confirmed.
