COAS Gen Raheel Sharif spends a day with jawans; says terrorists’ backbone broken in Khyber Agency
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif has vowed not to let the terrorists reorganise to rootout terrorism.
According to a statement issued by the ISPR, COAS Raheel Sharif spent the first day of Ramazan with the soldiers fighting against militants in Khyber Agency.
“Noose has been tightened and terrorists will not be allowed to re-establish themselves,” said General Raheel Sharif, while addressing troops on Friday.
He said that the Jawaru area, which was replete with explosive tunnels, had now been cleared.
He said they will defeate terrorists with the support of the nation.
General Raheel Sharif said that the war is ongoing in few areas along Pak-Afghan border as Pakistan Army has successfully destroyed the strongholds of militants.
The COAS also visisted a rehebiliation centre in Bara where he monitored the learning and rehebiliation process of those who surrendered to the armed forces.
He paid rich tributes to the sacrifices of the soldiers and appreciated the professionalism of the armed forces.
