COAS General Raheel Sharif visits Turkey on three-day visit, awarded Turkish Legend of Merit
ANKARA (92 News) – Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif has been awarded Turkish Legend of Merit for his services for regional peace and courageously handling of terrorism menace.
According to the ISPR, the COAS also met with his Turkish counterpart and discussed enhanced cooperation in defense, counter terrorism and training.
He also expressed his heartfelt condolences over Ankara terrorist blast. “We understand enormity of your challenges and stand by you. Pakistan and Turkey face daunting challenges. I am sure we will surmount them with a common and coherent approach. We assure you our unflinching support,” the COAS said.
COAS General Raheel Sharif was also presented the guard of honor at Turkish Land Forces Headquarters. “Our brotherly relation is time tested and eternal,” he maintained.
Earlier, he laid a wreath at Kamal Ata Turk Mausoleum in Ankara.
