COAS lauds POF for meeting Operation Zarb-e-Azb’s arms requirement
RAWALPINDI (92 News) – Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif visited Pakistan Ordnance Factory, Wah, to see progress of envisaged modernization and capacity enhancement there.
The COAS appreciated POF efforts to meet total requirement of arms and ammunition for ongoing Operation Zarb-e-Azb and going way beyond meeting the set targets.
He stressed the need for further technical upgradation to optimize output and becoming fully self-reliant in arms and ammunition needs of paramilitary and law enforcement agencies (LEAs) in Pakistan.
Noticing growing export potential due to newly attained quality standards, the COAS directed POF to explore newer markets and focus on increasing exports.
