RAWALPINDI (92 News) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited Line of control (LOC) in Kel Sector and forward posts in Sharda on Friday.
General Officer Commanding Murree Maj Gen Azhar Abbas briefed him on situation along LOC and Cease Fire Violations (CFVs) by India in recent months. The COAS was also apprised of Army’s support to ongoing Housing and Population Census.
Gen Bajwa appreciated state of operational preparedness and response to CFVs. He said that Indian propaganda regarding presence of miscreants along LOC is aimed at spreading unrest in Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJ&K), which will never succeed. “People of AJ&K are fully aware of Indian atrocities in Indian Held Kashmir (IHK) and Indian agendas.”
He said that Pakistan Army shall continue to ensure protection and security of people along LOC.
He also directed to ensure progress and development in the area in coordination with the AJ&K government.
Earlier on his arrival, COAS was received by Commander Rawalpindi Corps Lieutenant General Nadeem Raza.
On the other hand, General Qamar Javed Bajwa thanked all participants for their video messages on Pakistan Day and Pakistani media for making Hum Sab Ka Pakistan campaign a success.
