COAS General Raheel Sharif orders to increase military courts in Karachi
KARACHI (92 News) – Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif has appreciated the performance of the Rangers, police, intelligence agencies and support of Karachiites during the ongoing operation against terrorists and criminals.
Speaking at a security briefing on Tuesday, he approved an increase in number of military courts in Karachi to decide pending terrorism cases.
The COAS directed to break evil nexus between terrorism, criminal mafias, violence and corruption to ensure peaceful and terror-free Karachi.
He handed over equipment worth Rs 65 million to Karachi police for training and capacity-building of the cops.
Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif said that the operation will continue across the board to eliminate terrorists, criminals and mafias from Karachi.
Earlier, he was briefed on latest security situation in Karachi.
The Corps Commander Karachi, DGs ISPR and Rangers, Chief Secretary, IGP Sindh, Commissioner and representatives of intelligence agencies were also present.
