COAS Raheel Sharif visits Army Air Defence centre in Karachi, pays homage to martyrs at Yadgar-e-Shuhada
RAWALPINDI (92 News) – Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif on Tuesday visited Army Air Defence centre in Karachi’s Malir Cantonment area and laid floral wreath at the Yadgar-e-Shuhada monument.
According to a statement issued by the ISPR, the COAS was briefed regarding the training and other activities at the centre.
Army Chief General Raheel Sharif pinned the badges of rank on the shoulders of Lieutenant General Zamir Ul Hassan Shah, Adjutant General Pakistan Army to formally install him as Colonel Commandant of Army Air Defence.
Addressing the ceremony, the COAS appreciated the soldiers for the untiring efforts and sacrifices in war on terror.
Earlier, General Raheel Sharif arrived in Karachi, where he will inspect Corps Headquarters.
The IG Sindh will also brief him about implementation on National Action Plan (NAP).
