Contempt of court case: SHC grants Sindh CM, IGP time to take action against culprits
KARACHI (92 News) – The Sindh High Court on Thursday granted Sindh Chief Minister Qaem Ali Shah, Police IG Ghulam Haider Jamali and other police officials to take action against those involved in the incident that involved manhandling of journalists.
A bench of the court headed by Justice Sajjad Hussain Shah heard the case today. During the court proceedings, the Sindh IGP along with 13 other police officials submitted an unconditional apology to the SHC in contempt of court case hearing. The court granted time to the Sindh IGP and other officials till June 1st for action against the perpetrators May 23 incident.
The court granted their pleas on the condition that they will meet with the chief minister and determine the perpetrators of the incident and will take immediate action against them till June 1.
