Contempt of Court Case: PML-N’s Daniyal Aziz again gets time to submit reply
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Daniyal Aziz has on Tuesday again appealed the court for more time to submit response in contempt of court proceedings.
A five member bench of the Election Commission of Pakistan headed by Chief Election Commissioner Sardar Muhammad Raza on Tuesday resumed hearing of the contempt of court case.
During the proceedings, Daniyal Aziz said that he couldn’t inform the lawyer regarding the case and appealed the court for more time.
The tribunal asked him to submit reply until June 19.
Talking to media after the hearing, Daniyal Aziz said that he won’t runaway, adding that he will file response in the next hearing.
On the other hand, the tribunal also heard the the case about the violation of election code of conduct by PTI Chairman Imran Khan.
During the proceedings, the counsel of Imran Khan said Islamabad High Court (IHC) is also hearing the matter and it has also sought reply from the election commission in this regard on 6th July.
Therefore, he sought further hearing of the case after this date.
On this the election commission adjourned the case till 24th of next month.
The tribunal adjourned the hearing until July 24.
