Contempt of Court: Daniyal Aziz rejects allegations; Imran Khan gets more time
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Daniyal Aziz has on Monday rejected the allegations in his reply submitted in the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) tribunal in contempt of court case.
A five member bench of the Election Commission headed by Chief Election Commissioner Sardar Raza Khan resumed hearing of the contempt of court case against PML-N leader Daniyal Aziz.
During the proceedings, the PML-N leader submitted his reply in the court in which he rejected the allegations contempt of court.
He said that no evidence was produced against him and requested the tribunal to cancel the application against him.
The ECP adjourned the hearing until July 17.
Talking to media, Daniyal Aziz said his party has always respected the institutions but Imran Khan is ridiculing them.
He said that the PML-N leaders have presented themselves for accountability but the PTI chairman is trying to escape accountability.
On the other hand, a five member bench of the Election Commission headed by Chief Election Commissioner Sardar Raza Khan heard the contempt of court case against PTI Chairman Imran Khan in Islamabad.
During the proceedings, the PTI chairman again failed to submit his response in the case.
The ECP asked the counsel of the PTI to submit the reply on the next hearing to be on 4th of this month.
