Corps Commander Karachi opposes conditional powers to Rangers
KARACHI (92 News) – Corps Commander Karachi Lt-Gen Naveed Mukhtar has opposed the conditional powers granted to the Rangers by the Sindh government.
He was addressing the officers participating in the operation against terrorists at Rangers Headquarters on Friday.
He said that peace would not be possible in the city without giving special powers to the Rangers.
“The Rangers’ role against terrorism has the status of backbone,” he maintained. “Uncertain conditions strengthen criminals.”
Lt-Gen Naveed Mukhtar said that Rangers would continue to protect citizens against terrorists.
