Country being purged of terrorists & extremists, says COAS General Raheel Sharif
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The 49th Convocation Ceremony of College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) was held today at Jinnah Convention Centre, Islamabad, on Monday.
Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif, who was the chief guest, said that by the Grace of Allah Almighty, an environment has been created where fear and retribution from the terrorists and criminals has largely been reduced.
He said that the country was being purged of terrorists and extremists. “We will eliminate terrorists with the support of the nation,” he maintained. “Relative security needs to be transformed into an enduring peace and stability for the nation. A whole of the nation approach is important to bring our endeavors to a logical end.”
The COAS paid rich tributes to sacrifices of citizens and soldiers in achieving this state of stability and peace.
Congratulating the graduating students, the COAS said: “To steer this country to success, we need to invest in our future generations. To this end, every individual, especially the educated professionals, have an enormous responsibility. It is my belief that today’s fellows will rise and shine as the future of Pakistan.”
General Raheel Sharif appreciated the college leadership for improving postgraduate medical education and healthcare services in the country.
