CPEC to bring prosperity in the country and Balochistan, says Dr Abdul Malik Baloch

QUETTA (92 News) – Chief Minister Balochistan Dr Abdul Malik Baloch has on Thursday said that the Rs 42 million China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Project will bring prosperity to the country including Balochistan and the entire region.

Addressing a ceremony of Pak-China Joint Coordination Committee in Gwadar on Thursday, Dr Abdul Malik said that the work on energy, communication, Railway industrial and other sector under the CPEC is underway.

He said that to make the Gwadar Port more effective, a network of roads will be built and local fishermen will be provided access to the markets through road.

Wang-she Tao was heading the Chinese delegation, while Pakistani delegation was headed by Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal.


On the occasion, Ahsan Iqbal said that the people would have employment opportunities with the effectiveness of the Gwadar Port, while economic and trade activities will also increase.

Addressing the participants, Chinese diplomat Wang-she Tao said that China attaches great importance to relations with Pakistan and Chinese investors will soon start investment in Balochistan.
