Cross-border fire from Afghanistan kills seven FC soldiers
RAWALPINDI (92 News) – At least seven Frontier Corps (FC) soldiers were killed during heavy fire from across Pak-Afghan border on Tuesday near a border town in the mountainous South Waziristan region.
According to a statement issued by the ISPR, the firing occurred on a Frontier Corps (FC) check post northeast of Angoor Adda in South Waziristan killing seven FC personnel. “Three FC personnel were also injured in addition to those killed,” the DGPR said.
The militants attacked the check post with large and small arms which was retaliated by security forces. The Angoor Adda check post bordering Afghanistan has been also attacked by Afghan forces and militants in past.
