LAHORE (92 News) – The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) on Tuesday claimed to have arrested three alleged terrorists on Tuesday from Gunjranwala.

According to CTD officials, the arrested terrorists identified as Shamas-uz- Zaman, Ashrif and Naeem. It also said that they are affiliated with a banned outfit and weapons.

The CTD official said that they recovered explosives materials and hate-based literatures were also recovered from their custody. “Donation receipts, detonators, and other stuff were also confiscated from the arrested three alleged terrorists”, the CTD official said.

The arrested terrorists were planning to carry out a terror activity in Gujranwala but were nabbed by the CTD team on the tip-off during an operation.

Three alleged terrorists killed in Karachi shootout

A day earlier, the security forces foiled the terror bid as three terrorists were killed in an alleged exchange of fire with law enforcers in Khuda Baksh Goth near Super Highway at Northern Bypass in Karachi late.

According to police, police personnel aided by officials of an intelligence agency conducted a raid at a hideout of terrorists in Khuda Baksh village following a tip-off about their presence there.

In retaliation, three terrorists were killed, while taking advantage of the darkness, two of their accomplices managed to escape. The killed terrorists identified as Usam,20-years-old and Talat mehmood, 48-years-old.

Terrorist involved in attack on Sri Lankan team killed

A day earlier, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) killed an alleged terrorist – who involved in attack on Sri Lankan team – during a raid conducted in Dera Ismail Khan.

According to the reports, an alleged terrorist was killed in a CTD raid who wanted to the police department in 13 different cases. The Police officials have expressed suspicions regarding the terrorist of having a connection with the group involved in an attack on Sri Lankan cricket team.
