CTD gunned down eight terrorists in DG Khan

DERA GHAZI KHAN (92 News) – At least eight terrorists of a banned organization were killed and three others managed to escape during a raid conducted in Dera Ghazi Khan on Friday.

As per details, on a tip off the presence of al Qaeda and banned Tehreek-e-Taliban terrorists in the area, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) carried out a raid at a hideout in Dera Ghazi Khan’s Tomni Road.

The terrorists hiding in the attacked the CTD raiding team with hand grenades and opened firing, in retaliation, eight terrorists were killed, while three others managed to flee.

The CTD spokesman said that the terrorists were planning to target law-enforcement agencies offices and personnel in attacks.

Three hand grenades, Automatic rifles and pistols were recovered from the possession of terrorists.


The killed terrorists were identified as Khurram, Abdul Hakeem, Abdul Jabbar, Shaukat Latif, Billal, Iftikhar and Rasheed, while two of them belonged to Hangu, two from Mohmand Agency, two from Lahore and one from Faisalabad.

The search for the arrest of escaped terrorists is underway.
