Dacoits take away Rs2m from private bank in Karachi

KARACHI (92 News) – Eight dacoits took away Rs two million from a private company in Defence area on Thursday.

The dacoits forced their entry into the bank at 9am, held the security guard hostage and decamped with the amount.

DIG South Azad Khan told 92 News that dacoits took away Rs two million from the bank where the security was faulty.

He said that the door of bank’s strolling room was already opened.


The DIG said that they were trying to identify the dacoits through CCTV cameras.

On the other hand, police investigators said that the dacoits might have entered the bank with the connivance of the bank staff and they were investigating the matter.
