Death of sweeper: MS among six booked for negligence in Umarkot

UMARKOT (92 News) – The police have registered a case against six people, including Civil Hospital Medical Superintendent Jam Kanbhar and two doctors, for negligence that resulted in the death of a sweeper.

Irfan Masih, the deceased’s brother, said that the doctor had refused to provide medical treatment to the deceased.

On the complaint of the deceased’s father, the Umarkot City police have registered a case against MS Jam Kanbhar, RMO Dr Yousaf Kanbhar, Dr Alhadad Rathore, Municipal Committee employees Khalid Khoso, Behari Lal and Saron Kumar.


The condition of four sweepers deteriorated while cleaning a gutter, but Irfan Masih died. The deceased’s family protested against the doctors and Municipal Committee officers.
