Death toll of Sundar Industrial Estate tragedy rises to 24

LAHORE (92 News) – Four more bodies were recovered from the debris of collapsed factory in Sundar Industrial Estate on Thursday, rising death toll to 24.

One of the injured women also succumbed to her wounds.

The rescue operation is going to recover the people buried under the debris.

Thirty vehicles, eight cranes, over 300 ambulances and 160 workers are busy in the rescue operation.

Moreover, 250 jawans of Pakistan Army are also busy in the rescue operation.

The Punjab government has established a help desk. The injured are being treated in different hospitals.

Meanwhile, GOC Sardar Tariq Amaan reached the site and supervised the rescue activities. The Lahore DCO and army jawans briefed him about the activities.
