Decision to withdraw subsidy on fertilizers inhuman: Zardari
KARACHI (92 News) – Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman chairman Asif Ali Zardari criticized the government’s decision to withdraw subsidy on fertilizers, saying that the decision is cruel and inhuman.
In a statement, Zardari said that this step is a conspiracy against the rural and poor people.
This decision would affect the agriculture sector and would increase poverty in the rural areas, he said.
He further said that the decision would damage the inter-provincial harmony.
“The federal government is playing with fire. The steps taken to implement the decision would create conflict among the provinces,” he said.
“The PPP stands with the farmers of the entire country. The government is providing irreparable loss to the national economy because of external pressure,” Zardari added.
