Defense Day being celebrated with fervor across country today
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The 50th Defense of Pakistan Day is being celebrated on Sunday (today) to pay homage to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives while defending the motherland.
There will be fireworks in the night at F-9 Park Islamabad on Saturday night.
Tribute will be paid to the martyrs of the 1965 war by observing a one-minute silence at 9.29 am. This will follow airing of national anthem by all broadcasting networks at 9.30 am.
On 6th September 1965, Pakistan’s valiant armed forces and the entire nation stood united to foil the nefarious designs of the enemy who had dared cast an evil eye on the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the country.
