Pakistan using some terrorist groups as part of its Foreign Policy: McMaster
WASHINGTON (92 News) – US National Security Adviser HR McMaster said that the demands made with Pakistan are not just an exchange of allegations.
In an interview with the Voice of America, he alleged that Pakistan is using some terrorist groups as part of its Foreign Policy.
He also alleged that Pakistan is providing safe havens to the Taliban and the Haqqani network leadership. “Our relationship can no longer bear the weight of contradictions, and that we have to really begin now to work together to stabilize Afghanistan that would be a huge benefit to Pakistan,” he said.
To a question, he said that Pakistan is a country with tremendous potential — human potential, economic potential.
“So, what we really would like to see is Pakistan act in its own interest and to stop going after these groups only selectively, and to stop providing safe havens and support bases and other forms of support for leadership,” he alleged.
