DG Rangers reiterates resolve to take Karachi operation to logical end; says foreign hands behind Karachi unrest

KARACHI (92 News) – Sindh Rangers DG Major General Bilal Akbar has reiterated the determination of controlling terrorism in Karachi till the last terrorist is eliminated, while stating that foreign powers are behind the subversive activities in the metropolis.

While briefing the standing committee of human rights on Thursday, Bilal Akbar said that foreign powers are involved behind the terrorism in Karachi and the proofs have been handed over to the federal government. “15 percent of the target killing incidents in Karachi are on sectarian bases,” DG Rangers added.

He briefed that law enforcement agencies are conducting successful intelligence based operations in Karachi.

The Sindh IG also briefed the committee and said that law and order situation of the province has been improved with joint efforts of police and rangers.
