I didn’t receive any questionnaire from the JIT: Hussain Nawaz

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Hussain Nawaz, son of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has appeared before the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) formed to probe the Panama Leaks case against the prime minister and his family members.

The Joint Investigation Team (JIT) headed by Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Director Wajid Zia and comprising State Bank of Pakistan (SBP)’s Amir Aziz, National Accountability Bureau (NAB)’s Irfan Naeem Mangi, Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP)’s Bilal Rasool, Inter Services Intelligence (ISI)’s Brigadier Muhammed Noman Saeed and Military Intelligence (MI)’s Brigadier Kamran Khursheed had sent a notice to Hussain Nawaz and asked to ensure his presence in front of JIT for investigation.

Hussain Nawaz reached the Federal Judicial Academy where he recorded his statement in front of the investigating team.

Talking to media, Hussain Nawaz said that he had received a notice from JIT asking him to appear before the team within 24 hours.

He said that he will present his stance after appearing before the JIT along with his lawyer Faisal Ghani Advocate.

The premier’s son said that he did not receive any questionnaire from the JIT.


Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders Hanif Abbasi, Daniyal Aziz and Taiq Fazal Karim were also present in the Judicial Academy.

Earlier, Hussain Nawaz had raised objections against two members of the JIT. In an application to Supreme Court, he asked for an appropriate action against those members.

Three-member bench will hear application of Hussain Nawaz tomorrow (Monday).
