Disgruntled teachers sit-in continues in Karachi
KARACHI (92 News) – The disgruntled teachers have on Tuesday continued their sit-in outside Karachi Press Club after police baton charged and took into custody their colleagues who were protesting against Sindh government and demanding they be regularized and marching towards Chief Minister House.
The agitating teachers were offered negotiations with commissioner and meeting with CM on December 28.
The protesting teachers said that they will protest until their demands are met, even after assurances by the Commissioner.
On Wednesday, police baton charged and took into custody teachers who were protesting against Sindh government and demanding they be regularized and trying to march towards Chief Minister House.
The teachers had taken to the streets in protest for not being granted permanent status by the government despite being appointed since 2014. They had also cleared the National Testing Service (NTS) exam.
