Divorcees are not criminals, says Reham Khan
November 19, 2015
LONDON (92 News) – The former wife of Pakistani politician Imran Khan has spoken out about the stigma associated with divorce within the South-Asian culture. In her latest interview with the British Broadcasting Company, Reham Khan said that she has been "demonised" since the breakdown of her marriage - and even accused of poisoning the leader of the opposition. She married the former cricketer but it lasted only 10 months. She said that divorce is not her problem but the accusations on social media and other sources are her problem, adding that divorces are not criminals. The PTI chairman’s former wife said that the media was given permission to run campaign against my children but she kept silence as she was in that position. Meanwhile in a Twitter post Reham Khan has said that she has not received any money from Imran Khan nor she has received ‘Haq Mehr,’ the marriage money.
