Those who have done nothing are still facing trial: Nawaz
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif on Friday said that those who shouldn’t, have been acquitted by the court, while those who have not done anything were facing trial.
Talking to media outside the accountability court on Friday, he said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan has hinted at delay in the elections in the backdrop of declining popularity, a vindication of which was Minar-e-Pakistan rally.
Commenting on Imran Khan’s case, Maryam Nawaz said that the directives must have come ‘from the top’.
Earlier, an anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Friday acquitted Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan in case pertaining to torture on in SSP Asmatullah Juneijo.
The ATC Shahrukh Arjumand pronounced the judgement in the presence of PTI chairman Imran Khan.
The court had reserved the verdict on April 13.
