Dosens held in countrywide operations
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Rangers have on Thursday apprehended dozens of people in sweeping raids hours after Interior Ministry approved special policing powers for the paramilitary force in Punjab.
Rangers carried out a combing operation in Rawalpindi’s different areas including Dhok Hassu, Ratta, Fauji Colony, Bakery Chowk and detained at least 40 suspects including 13 Afghan nationals.
Weapons including six Kalashnikovs, seven pistols and more than 300 rounds were also recovered from the possession of arrested suspects.
On the other hand, in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, police have arrested 62 suspects including two facilitators of terrorists, from different areas of Swabi district. Arms and ammunition were recovered from them.
Meanwhile, Karachi police in a search operation in old Sabzi Mandi area have arrested 20 suspects.
