Pillion riding banned in Karachi for Muharram
KARACHI (92 News) – The Sindh government has banned pillion riding for three days on the occasion of Muharramul Haram in Karachi.
As per reports, the phones services were partially suspended in Karachi and other cities on 8, 9 and 10th Muharram.
The ban on pillion riding will be up to 8 to 10th Muharram, and it will be applicable throughout the province. Moreover, the arms display across Sindh, the use of loudspeaker, violent speeches, wall chalking and use of heli-cam is also prohibited and Section 144 has also been implemented.
The strict arrangements of the security have been done for the Ashura procession routes in all the cities of Pakistan, Lahore, Quetta and Peshawar.
