KARACHI (92 News) – The Sindh High Court has on Friday postponed the hearing of bail petitions of former federal minister Dr Asim Hussain and others in the corruption case of Rs 46.2 billion.

The SHC resumed hearing of bail pleas of Dr Asim, Ijaz Chaudhry, Abdul Hameed, Athar Hussain and Safdar in the Rs 46.2 billion corruption case. The court postponed the hearing for indefinite time.

The court also rejected the request for urgent hearing of Dr. Asim’s bail petition.

On the other hand, the SHC sent the reference regarding corruption of Rs 17 billion against former federal minister to Chief Justice Sindh High Court.

Justice Naimatullah remarked that the bench which granted bail to co-accused should listen the matter.

The applicant stated that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) concealed the facts and evidence from the Accountability Court and the accused cannot be charged without presenting full documentation in the court.
