Farooq Sattar renounces Altaf Hussain, assumes MQM leadership
KARACHI (92 News) – MQM leader Farooq Sattar has renounced Altaf Hussain, saying his party is the party of Pakistan and it should be run from Pakistan.
Addressing a press conference on Tuesday, he said that each party worker condemned the statement of the MQM chief.
He said that he wanted to utter the same word, but was not allowed to do so. “We ourselves are the MQM and why we should renounce it,” he maintained.
Farooq Sattar announced that the MQM will participate in the local bodies elections.
He said that the mayor and deputy mayor in Karachi and Hyderabad would belong to the MQM.
He called for giving up the policy of banning the party.
He also demanded that all the party offices, including Nine Zero, should be de-sealed.
