Earthquake rocks different cities of country
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – An earthquake of magnitude 5.2 on rector scale jolted different parts of the country on Saturday.
The earthquake jolted different areas of the country including Islamabad, Mansehra, Swat, Abbotbad and Muzaffarbad.
According to Met office the epicenter of the earthquake was near Kaghan in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and its depth was 13 kilometer.
People came out of their homes in panic and started reciting verses of the Holy Quran.
As per the latest information, no loss of life or casualties have been reported as of yet.
Pakistan is a country which is susceptible to earthquakes as it straddles part of the boundary where the Indian and Eurasian tectonic plates meet.
On October 8, 2005, Pakistan witnessed a 7.6-magnitude quake that killed over 73,000 people and left about 3.5 million homeless, mainly in Pakistan-controlled Kashmir.
