ECP forms committee to probe PTI foreign funding
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Monday formed a committee to probe into the foreign funding details of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
A five-member bench of ECP headed by Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sardar Raza Khan was conducting the hearing of the case.
During the proceedings, PTI leader Sardar Azhar appeared before the tribunal on behalf of council for PTI Mansoor, while petitioner, Akbar S Babar was also present.
The tribunal while announcing its judgement, ordered to constitute a committee which will probe into the party’s foreign funding details and submit a report before the commission within a month.
The committee will be headed by ECP Director General Law Mohammad Irshad.
