ECP gets reference for KP caretaker CM
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – After parliamentary committee’s failure in finalising for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa caretaker chief minister (CM), the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) got on Monday a reference for the KP caretaker CM.
According to the details, now the ECP to nominate the interim CM, so the KP speaker has forwarded four names, two each from the outgoing government and opposition, to the commission to pick one person for the slot.
The opposition has given the names of Manzoor Afridi and Justice (r) Dost Mohammad Khan for the position of caretaker CM. While the government has given the names of Himayatullah Khan and Ejaz Ahmed Qureshi.
A committee of the ECP headed by Chief Election Commissioner Justice (r) Sardar Muhammad Raza is to decide on caretaker CM within two days.
